FSA Calendar

The FSA meets on a monthly basis and all parents are encouraged to attend. All meetings begin at 8:45 am unless otherwise notified.  Meeting dates for 2011-2012 will be posted once they have been finalized.

The Family & School Association (FSA) exists to provide opportunities for students, parents, teachers, and administrators to work and play together in support of SAA. FSA events and activities give both the students and the adults who care about them a chance to spend time together and build friendships within a supportive community.

FSA sponsored activities include:
  • Welcome events for new and returning families, such as the pool party in August, the All-School Picnic on Sept. 17, and the new parent coffee in November.
  • Parent lectures throughout the year featuring speakers on relevant gifted topics. 
  • Planning of outside social events (e.g., ice skating party) for families
  • SAA logo and spirit wear sales to families, faculty and friends
  • A fall book fair, which includes the opportunity to purchase books for teacher's rooms and for the SAA library
  • Staff Appreciation event at the end of the school year
  • Funding for various purchases to support the school, including a "wish list" item in the spring (if fundraising allows)
    • Last year's purchase: Orff instruments to support the lower school elementary music program
